RE: Arriva North West - Speke Depot
Speke have well more than 12 B7TL's as they got 4108 - 4129, I would expect these Deckers to displace the Gemi 1's and a few Single Deckers to other Depots

RE: Arriva North West - Speke Depot
I expect they will probably replace the ex-Wales Commanders and the 07-reg Cadets. I think that the 80 needs double deck capacity so I hope that this route receives this batch

Why would Speke give up any of their Volvo B7TLs when they need more double deckers and not less? The displaced Commanders and Cadets could be cascaded to other depots to replace Darts

I reckon they're be for double decking the 75's/80's although these newer vehicles may not specifically be used on there. Whatever nice to see some more decent vehicles in the Liverpool area.

Going by personal observations, the 80/80A seem to take preference over the 75 when it comes to allocating deckers.

These new Enviro400s will almost certainly be for the 75 as an order of deckers for this route has been in the pipeline for a while. The 75 has a PVR of 11 so this will allow one spare as you would expect. Speke will achieve the landmark of having 100 deckers as well assuming it is Commanders and Cadets replaced.

Hopefully the 80/80A can be converted to double deck operation in 2016 as it is certainly required.

According to the latest fleet list, Speke still has 41 single-deckers. Assuming that the new Enviro400s replace single-deckers, there will still be about 30 single-deckers at Speke. Is there an argument for a 100% double-deck fleet at some point in the future?

RE: Arriva North West - Speke Depot
Was something happening in the city centre today. Around 0930 heading out of town I noticed buses on the 86 and 86A displaying Renshaw St and those on the 75 showing Great Charlotte St?

Cheers,

See the Hanover Street thread.
Speaking of which, has anyone noticed how the traffic has been coping?
