Interesting point that, MM.
I notice that these DB250s fit into the Tax Class 38 (reduced emissions) bracket, meaning that their Road Tax comes in at £165 a year, rather than the usual decker tax of £500 a year (TC34 category).

So they might be crap to drive, but at least the road tax is cheap!LOL

And thats what matters,it saves the company a lot of money and reduces falls on the bus when there pulling away because the pulling away speed is low.

One thing's for sure: 2344 is a massive improvement on the ex-Birkenhead Myllenniums if nothing else! As long as it stays away from the decker routes (unlike today admittedly) it won't be too bad.

Just about an improvement on those ex Birkenhead mylleniums with their grab poles covered in yellow tape instead of being painted. Incidentally, speaking of those, I had 2457 on Tuesday and whilst it could do with being p&p'd inside that one has been tightened up since the last time I rode it with the rattles being kept to a minimum even over speed humps. However, that doesnt make up for the thin seat cushions that are too thin on horrible urban 90's anyway.

Is 2344 covering for a bus off the road or is there a shortage of vehicles at speke?
