Fylde Villager Solo on the C5 today, been a while since I've seen a non hybrid on here. Looked pretty shabby too.

A Shabby looking cumfybus, who would believe that, its quite rare to see a tidy looking cumfybus these days.

Yes it is unusual to see non hybrids these days, although there was an MX53 on either the C4 or C5 a couple of weeks ago which I never got round to reporting. I think it was FDU.

Prior to that I don't think I'd seen one for a couple of months or more.

It doesn't look as though the vehicle requirement will change with the new service pattern, so unless availability of hybrids falls below 70%, anything else on all day C service duties should continue be rare.

Does anyone have any opinions on the changes next week? Mine is largely positive - the five-per-hour CityLink will be a boon for getting to and from work, the only slight downside being that unlike the C3 it doesn't stop by the McDonalds on Chaloner Street, though Queens Wharf isn't too much farther to walk. (I'm presuming that, for the deviation via Blundell Street and Jamaica Street to have any point to it, one or more new stops will be created on those streets - I will be curious to see where!)

Sure enough 2 new stops have been erected on Jamaica Street, one near each end.

MX09 MKA on C1 today!

Cumfybus will be adding to their Bolton and Wigan network with more tendered services from 21 July, which will be 525 (Mon-Sat daytime), 526, 527 (M-S daytime according to TfGM, although SLT website says they will be running those journeys), 571/572 (evenings), 612 (evenings). This adds to the 536, 551/553, 559, 570 and 622, which start from Sunday.
