If they don't give a crap about so called Quality Bus Partnerships, then they definitely wont care about who operates a contract, if its cheap, theyre happy, regardless of quality of service, as Supertravel proved for them! Smile
Sadly, I agree with that! I know I'm probably the biggest Cumfybus hater on the planet, however after Supertravel, they really did improve the service! For that reason, credit to them for doing that (even though all companies should do this anyway).

I'm really intrigued to know who the next company to run on the service will be now - hopefully they'll be reliable AND smart! Big Grin
Rumours suggest Impera, which will be very interesting if true! Be nice to their SPDs over this side of the water! Would be something different!
I wouldn't mind Impera over here, however only if they can actually run on time out of their Moreton depot - and no missing out the first Sunday journeys!

Almost covering the old 39 as well, & only 15 min longer than the 10A Liverpool to St Helens, actually it'll prob be quicker than the 10A when you account for delays.Big Grin

I'll await until its officially confirmed but that'll be interesting if Imperia win contracts in Liverpool, i remember when RedRider operated the Merseytravel service 175[Huyton=City Centre] & they had journeys from Moreton Depot to Liverpool commercially as 475.

RE: Cumfybus - T42 PVM - 18/06/2012 17:49

do cumfybus do day/weekly tickets?

RE: Cumfybus - buses7675 - 18/06/2012 17:50

They don't I'm afraid, normal fares apply on the 139 though Cumfybus's commercial fares as far as I know are lower than Arriva's commercial fares, however as I have a Trio I'm not sure of what the fare actually is on the 139!

RE: Cumfybus - T42 PVM - 18/06/2012 17:54

according to their website its 1 pound 60

RE: Cumfybus - television - 18/06/2012 17:54

You could always buy a Saveaway??? Adult all zones is £4.70. Bargain!

RE: Merseytravel Timetable Changes - wirralbus - 18/06/2012 18:08

With 15 mins between trips at St helens that should be a big enough buffer to prevent delays being passed from one journey to another , think cumfybus have done there homework on this one .

RE: Merseytravel Timetable Changes - T42 PVM - 18/06/2012 18:14

should take loads of passengers from the thatto heath area

RE: Merseytravel Timetable Changes - wirralbus - 18/06/2012 18:29

Ok i will take that Thatto Heath comment with a pinch of salt , because if it was as good a route Stagecoach would have kept it going , it must have been a marginal route for it the (70) to stay so long before being withdrawn and replaced by Cumfybus who probably have much lower overheads.
