Broadgreen Hospital to Prescot is uncovered too, would need a 248 all day at least introduced to increase coverage but given Merseytravel wont pay Cumfybus extra de minmimus who knows where the money will come from! The same situation with Broadgreen, Roby and Rainhill and the majority of Whiston area of a night with no 61 or anything else service but has always been begged for.
If there is no money or alternatives for the 139 then it would make more sense to make the 248 daytime only using the current contract budget

This has just been posted on the Cumfybus Facebook Page:

NEW SERVICE: 239 Prescot – Huyton – Broadgreen Hospital

We have been working very hard with Knowsley council and Merseytravel and are very happy to be able to say that we will be introducing a replacement 139 service - the 239 service.

The 239 service will run every 30 minutes between Prescot, Huyton and Broadgreen Hospital. We are trying very hard to get the new route up and running as quickly as possible but you may be without service for a few days.

More details coming soon

Good luck to them if they are trying to do a round trip in an hour. Do their buses now have the ability to fly?

RE: Cumfybus - mr t - 30/08/2018 18:29

An it Currently takes 38 minutes each way, even b y not serving Prescot Bus Station it still needs to turn around past the Tesco , and even not serving Huyton bus station that doesnt save 8 minutes each way! Also they havent allowed for the school/peak times which they did previously giving it 40 mins running time!

RE: Cumfybus - iMarkeh - 31/08/2018 03:07

It looks a mess how they have done that timetable. Why not just merge the two timetables together to clearly show it is a half hourly timetable.

YJ61JJK has been repainted into red and cream for the Southport park and ride.
It's in service this afternoon on there in base colours without logos applied yet.

What are Cumfybus doing with their Bolton fleet as they've lost the TfGM contracts I think

I didn't think they'd lost all of them - I've not seen any mention of them losing the 512, 513, 521, 557, or the Sunday daytime 516 and 584. If that's the case, they'll still need at least 7 buses (plus spare).

Alex mentioned on the Vision Bus thread that some of the silver TfGM hybrids are going to transfer to Vision Bus - I'm guessing the Solo and two of the six Versas?

I wonder how long Cumfybus have left seeing as they wont be renewing their Merseytravel contracts
