Deckers are definitely not banned on the 75. I've seen two B7s on there within the last week or so.

Two B7s made their way onto the 500 today, 4119 during the day with 4118 joining the fun for the night shift. I can see why Arriva want to cull their late 500 journeys - the 20.15 departure from the Airport (4118) carried exactly no one but us the whole way back to town. Other 500s seemed similarly empty too.

4111 made a rare appearance on the 76 yesterday.

Quite a few of the B7s are evidently away at St Helens for their refurbishment. Recent absentees are 4108, 4116, 4121, 4124 and 4129.

I've now visited the new Halewood Shopping Centre and although it has buses laying over there, isn't in public use yet. The Tesco and Aldi amongst other things are yet to be opened. I can however confirm that there is no roof over the road and as a result, no restrictions on deckers being used on any of the routes that stop there.

4125 was on the 79 tonight which was on the 699 during the day!

That's certainly good news. Maybe they've abandoned the roof altogether? Hope so! Smile

There is at least one of the ex-Birkenhead mylleniums on the 81 today, seen from my office window but not close enough to tell what bus. Still baffled that Speke wanted them but there you go.

2453 is on the 79/79D.

I very much doubt this decker-restricting roof was ever planned. It's a preposterous idea and probably little more than rumour.

If these Myllenniums are as temorary as we're led to believe, then it's a good move in that more people will actually be able to board the buses. The Cadets are too small for any use at Speke, plain and simple.

Saw one of the Prestiges on the 699 earlier, great way to welcome back the students, don't you think? Wink haha All the bendys broken down again?

3332 was on it on Saturday, nice to see the bendies being so reliable for Speke!
