Indeed, that just appears plain daft.

most probally to just annoy arriva for not running the evening service on there.

They need more deckers on the Ullet Road routes.
Since these routes were withdrawn or cut back, the odd decker is nowhere near enough capacity. This morning, I saw no deckers at all, and there were dozens of people left behind at each of the bus stops along Princes Road. I wouldn't be surprised if they were waiting more than 30 mins to get on a bus.
IMO Arriva need to increase the frequency or make them all deckers at the busiest times.

Totally agree. I was staggered when they cut back the 80/80A frequency, a double whammy with the 74 going as well. For me, both the 75 and 80/80A should have deckers throughout. There has always been overcrowding in the peaks on these routes, but it is worse than ever now. In fact, everything at Speke except the 76, bendibus routes and possibly the 81 as well should be deckered.

I agree too i normally get the first 78 juust after 5 of a morning and even a commander still gets packed on that journey they put a cadet on it yesterday and it was packed even before it got to mackets lane! ive started walking down to leathers lane now to get the 79D much more pleasent on the top deck of a gemini cant understand why speke got rid of the DLAs when they did theyd have been useful now.

Agree with all of you, I was waiting for the 75 by Ceasar's in town yesterday and I had to miss two of them as they were full from front to back with no standing room! When the 3rd one came there was only just enough space for me to get on! The 80s were the same! The annoying thing was I saw about 6 79s go past in that time and they were all only a quarter or a half full. I think that they should spread the deckers out a bit more fairly over all the routes or at least consider upping the frequency at the busy times because these routes are an absolute joke at certain times in the day!

I will echo what has been said regarding the Ullet Road/Princes Park corridor. Deckers seem to be more likely on the 80/80A these days but the 75 is in dire need of them in my opinion. But aren't deckers banned from the 75 due to the new bus station in Halewood having a low roof?

RE: Arriva North West - Speke Depot - TenaciousJ - 21/09/2012 14:03

I heard that is why but it doesn't stop the 79 having deckers? That bus station is wrought with problems I've heard!

On a side note just saw CX07 CRK (I think) broken down just past princes park.

Apparently, the stop for the 79/79D is not enclosed under the roof so deckers can use it.
