Palatine 2 R313 WVR (3313) was on the 78 today. Also, Myllennium Y462 KNF (2462) was on the 80. Finally, Citaro BX04 MXZ (6023) seemed to have been booked off the 500 tonight - in favour of Gem MX61 AYA (4462).

2605 was on the 79/79D yesterday around 2pm

Another Citaro booked off 500 and replaced with a decker, seems to happen quite regular this unless I'm mistaken, I'm just wondering whether there's a reason why the Citaroes can't manage a full day in service and seem to get swapped regularly as it happen the other week when I was at John Lennon Airport

Bendybuses are only given to drivers who have been type trained.

Over reasons such as overheating or a minor fault will mean the bus will be booked off during the 15 minute (Daytime) or 30 minute (Evening) laylovers at the Airport and replaced.

Often this can be a bus from the 86A, to which a bus from the depot will replace this.

2594 was on the 80/A yesterday, fully P&P'd. Looked really smart to say the least!

Bad day for Speke this afternoon - Cadet 2551 broke down on Crown Street heading towards town and was being towed away by RNW about an hour ago, whilst futher up Gemini 4439 was dead at the junction of Wavertree Road and Taskers!

Bad day for Speke continues after I've just heard about this on Granada News and read about it on the Echo website:

RE: Arriva North West - Speke Depot - V671 DVU - 30/08/2012 17:15

I read that in the Echo earlier today, I think it's absolutely disgusting and hope the driver gets sacked and is never allowed to drive a bus again.

That article rings bells for me as media hype and to be perfectly honest, the actions of the parent in this situation are questionable. It's a basic thing that if someone's having a fit, you don't try and pick them up yet this article has numerous quotes from the mother attempting to do so.

Whilst it's all well and good saying it's disgusting that the driver refused to stop etcetera based upon a newspaper article, I can't help but think that there will be more to the story and as none of us were there, it seems somewhat unfair to cast such strong judgement and make such damning remarks.

In view of your comment CX54, maybe we should say that if this is the whole truth and not sensationalised the driver should find himself in trouble and should be ashamed of himself, if it is not true the people who the child belonged to should be ashamed of themselves for over-doing a story, either way somebody is likely to be wrong.
