Staying at Speke for the 81/81A

Its ridiculous putting them on that! The 80 should get them and commanders go to 81!

It's not ridiculous putting them in 81's as now the schools & colleges are back the 81 can be very busy, however a mix if deckers and singles is sufficient for the service rather than all decker and this is what will probably happen.

Totally agree on this. As an enthusiast, the sound is monotonous on the Enviro400s in comparison with the tuneful B7s. I'll miss the unmistakeable Voith whine on the 86, sad as that might sound.

Also agree on their use on the 81/81A - rather wasteful. The 80/80A should have been prioritised regardless of the schools and colleges on the 81 route. The odd decker is ideal for this route but not a whole allocation, and I understand a whole allocation of deckers on the 81 is indeed planned. The 80 corridor is congested in peak times, especially along the Princes Road section and additional capacity is needed on either the 75 or 80 routes. Hopefully this will be addressed next year.

Besides 4119, 4120 and at least one other B7/ALX400 were out on the 86 yesterday. 4125 was on the 80 plus at one other. As people have said the 81 was wall to wall B7. Plenty of ex Welsh Commanders out on the 75/76/80 with 2504/07/09/10/11/12 noted. I stlll have not seen 2513 but assume that it has now arrived at Speke.
Sunday should be an interesting day. Since the Geminis arrived they have operated most of the Sunday services on 79/80/82/86 with ALX400 on the 500. Will the new buses spread out over all the depot routes or stay on the 86? Will deckers come out on the 75s?
We shall see.

Give it time and I'm guessing that Speke will send one of these new Enviro400s on something other than 86/86As and maybe appear on odd 500 journey

Was this later in the afternoon? When myself and CX06 EBK were travelling the route, there was only 4119 alongside 16 Enviro400s on it. I assume they made some substitutions later in the day.

Last Sunday (31/08), the 500 had three Geminis on it, while the 86/86A saw at least four B7TLs alongside the Geminis. That's the first time I've noticed a full Gemini complement on the 500.

Just had 4560, nothing special just another Enviro400, only difference being the leather seats and the wi-fi. Obviously there is the difference internally but nothing major. Typical arriva Enviro400 in that the fans were full on.

Commander 2584 was on the 79 this afternoon plus an unidentified Nyllenium. So they haven't all left yet then.
