Thanks for the info. I never know where to wait at Bootle. I usually plump for the New Strand Bus Station as the 60,61,68 and 91 are the rarer routes for me. I always forget about the 62, That misses the BS so I need to be on the main road next time and see the BS routes in the layover park.

Better luck next time!

I wouldn't count on the 62 to be honest, its a rarity for a decker to ever be on there - its usually just pulsars. Yesterday was a one off Smile

The bus station probably is your best bet for variety in my opinion.

Sorry about going off topic from speke!

91, I take it that's a typo and you mean 81 as there hasn't been a 91 for ages. As for gems, yes Bootle's two nearly always 60 & 61, obviously there will be the odd exception. Get your remaining Speke ones whilst you can, their move to Southport is imminent.

2511 was getting a good load on the 500 earlier, the busiest one ive ever seen!

RE: Arriva North West - Speke Depot - wirralbus - 19/07/2014 20:08

The 500 is an odd route , if the bus leaving Liverpool Airport coincides with an incoming flight the service can get quite busy , but have also been on services where at most its half full , its just pot luck.

When do the new deckers arrive? Arriva have told me end of June for Rhyl, end of July beginning of August for Speke & end of August for Southport?
An earlier post says they are due at the end of the year!
Now Rhyl have received their batch at around the time Arriva told me they would. So can we assume that Spekes Decker delivery is imminent

RE: Arriva North West - Speke Depot - MPTE1955 - 21/07/2014 05:06

They certainly are imminent with the mylleniums starting to move to Green Lane with the first one already in service there, the deckers are essentially a replacement for them.

4212 left for Southport the other day. Remaining 4209 was on a late on the 86A tonight. Real shame to see these four leave the fleet. Look great, and as a driver - drive great Smile

All Volvos are great to drive, much better than what Alexander Dennis produce in my opinion.
