It is here on loan from Wrights whilst the Geminis have work done. What does the work entail thats being done on the geminis? Nice to have a pulsar at speke bit of variety hope speke get their own batch of pulsars soon. What in the way of Single Deckers is next to reach the age limit ? RE: Arriva North West - Speke Depot - jtd508110 - 12/10/2013 07:15 The DAF's I imagine. RE: Arriva North West - Speke Depot - MPTE1955 - 12/10/2013 07:20 The next batch of single deckers to hit the age limit at Speke will be the Mylleniums as they are all on Y plates, they probably have 2 1/2 - 3 Years left being new in 2001. Probably the couple of BLE's they got off Bolton as well. The one's due very soon are the two Prestiges that are probably on borrowed time. Speke is getting work done on the garage work area hence the geminis turning up to green lane bootle and Runcorn I'm not sure but it's certainly a bus a day that's getting work done! Expect the 86/86A road to receive new deckers sometime next year.this will see the b7s going on to the 81/A seeing the Myllenniums off! RE: Arriva North West - Speke Depot - MPTE1955 - 12/10/2013 17:52 I would imagine that the mylleniums would then replace some darts for a little while somewhere else. It appears that 2451 has recently been given "P&P" treatment, although this hasn't stopped Arriva from withdrawing it any sooner or later than usual taking into account past situations! RE: Arriva North West - Speke Depot - MPTE1955 - 13/10/2013 20:33 No its TRUE, we seen that with 2402 & 3 didn't we, don't know whether I have just got used to them or I just don't mind the mylleniums with using them daily on 81. The ex LS ones badly need a tidy up inside, the grab rails covered in yellow tape instead of repainted is ridiculous. Other than that all the mylleniums seem to move well with a good turn of speed. I agree with you on the ex Birkenhead Mylleniums, the reason the grab rails are covered in tape is because the plastic coating has been peeled away for some reason or another (probably vandalism). As far as I know it's just the Mylleniums that have this coating opposed to paint like the rest of the fleet, its a stupid design if you ask me. Other than the rattles I think the Mylleniums are great, they have a nice, strong sounding engine and they are something different in the fleet. Just like the Ultralows they have something about them and sound like a proper bus unlike Pulsar, just my opinion. |
