Anyone know what was going on in woolton village yesterday? apparently the village was closed off with a large police presence and my mum said her bus was diverted through gateacre but it was back to normal this morning have heard gas main works are due to start soon in the village resulting in the closure of woolton street.

Are u sure it was yesterday? Acrefield Road was closed on Monday becuase of a crash! If it was closed yesterday too then not a good week so far for Woolton services!

Saw 6023 turn off of Green Lane before, presumably visited Green Lane depot for MOT? It turned onto Queens Drive so was definitely going back to Speke.

How many routes do the Speke depot operate? Also are they looking for drivers? Are the routes straight forward?

Take a look at the timetables available on Merseytravel and that way you'll be able to decide for yourself. As for whether they are recruiting or not, nobody on this forum is likely to be able to confirm either way - you'd be much better off just giving the depot a phone call.
I thought you'd decided service driving wasn't for you though RS after your time with Network Warrington?

The problem I had with Network Warrington, was not being from the area and 36 routes to learn. I was given 8 days to try and learn them before going out in Service. This was never going to be enough time and i even went out most nights in my car to try and help myself out.
I did learn quite a number but there was far too many routes that after only looking at them the once, I was never going to remember them. How they can expect you to go out and drive them in service, basically driving blind, I wasnt going to do that. my mentor told me I would be put out anyways whether I knew them fully or not. It put me off to be honest..
Would like to give Speke a go to be fair...heard its a decent depot to work from...

Spekes full as far as i know. Runcorn Bootle and Green Lane seem to be the ones needing Drivers
