MAN EcoCity Gas Bus at Stagecoach Merseyside

Stagecoach Merseyside currently have a CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) powered MAN EcoCity demonstrator on loan, which has seen use on route 10A (Liverpool City Centre – St Helens). New Arriva 61 reg Pulsar 2s

Arriva NW&W is continuing to purchase more VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2s, the latest entering service over the last few days at Green Lane depot. 17 are reportedly due for route 15, numbers 3062-78, while Southport depot is expected to gain 12, numbers 3079-91 for route 49. I was up in St Helens again today and managed to complete riding and photographing the four Darts that are on loan to Arriva St Helens depot from Dawson’s Rentals to cover for their own buses that are away “on holiday” in Malta! Arriva Skelmersdale closes and yet more rental buses!

Over the weekend the Arriva depot in Skelmersdale finally closed with all services and buses reallocated to other Arriva depots, including those at Southport, Bootle and St Helens.
