Since the last blog update there have been yet more contract changes resulting in further buses being hired in with some operators, due to the unexpected decision by Supertravel/Homes Hames Travel to end all of its stage services with immediate effect from 13/10/2011. More Merseytravel route contracts have changed between operators today, amongst the changes inthe Liverpool area being Sunday AM route 161 (Liverpool – Rainhill) moving to ACE Travel from Halton Transport, Sunday 168 (Aigburth – Bootle) moving to ACE Travel from Arriva (Peoplesbus still operate alternate Sunday diagrams as before) and routes 173/4 (Belle Vale – Continue reading →

From Monday 11th July 2011 large number of routes previously operated by Supertravel changed to different operators with very short notice. Those that remain with Supertravel are all transferred to the Home James Travel licence, following various changes at the company. HTL Buses have received at least 3 new Optare Solo M710SEs during the last few weeks of May and I was able to get a photograph of one of them today! Seen in practically the same spot as the white Solo HTL had on loan a few weeks back is YJ11 EKL. Others similar buses Continue reading →

Another unseasonally warm day was had in Liverpool again today so I have been out getting some photographs! The open top tour buses in Liverpool continue to do well, even on weekdays during the good weather and at least three were out in force today.
