RE: Cross Country Trains
43208 and 43321 were noted in back to back formation last week on light test following major overhaul.

Albeit HST Diagrams are currently stood down due to a Union Dispute, as soon as this is resolved then these 2 should return to passenger work for the first time in a couple of years.

I'm sure there were a few years when the class 220/221s had been introduced when there were no 125s on Cross Country.

There were always HSTs on summer dated services if nothing else.

Wasn't that one return Saturday working to Newquay for a few weeks of the year using a set loaned from GNER, that GNER still used themselves on weekdays?

Urgent repairs to a bridge between Didcot Parkway and Oxford are taking place. As a result of this, trains are currently unable to run between these stations.

Disruption between Reading and Oxford is expected until at least the end of the day on Wednesday 31 May.

Looking at the state of the bridge in i have seen in photographs this could be a much longer closure .

This is a very busy route both for passengers and freight. Diversionary routes for freight will be via North West London or around Bristol. Not sure whether Swindon-Gloucester is passed for freight these days.
