DLA 4097 out on 492.

So 4097 from Bootle has replaced 4001.

Whats the logic on the merry go round .

Is 4001 one of the more reliable versions ?

Is 4097 any better than 4001 in the reliability stakes ?

Bit of a daft merry go round, surely sending 4097 direct to Speke would have been more logical, that is unless of course Speke were offered 4097 and refused it. As for reliability of 4097, I'm not sure how reliable it is, haven't seen it enough as it was supposed to be for schools but has seen action on 61's a few times.

From what I can recall, none of the 3 Presidents had any significant problems when they were at Speke initially.

Maybe they were all homesick at LS :P

4001 is again on the 82 today too. They used to be fairly regular performers on the 82 during their time at Speke and really only seemed to hit problems when they moved over the water.

Oh Superman where are you now, when everything's gone wrong somehow, the men of steel, the men of power, are losing control by the hour.

I remember being on that on the 82 in Speke when the engine overheated a good few years back.

As you might expect, here's a photo of 4097 on the 492 seeing as I live on the route http://flic.kr/p/jfP376.

All three were 'Le Bus' branded for the 82.

Only 4000 and 4001 were 'Lebus' branded in fact, Phil. 4002 avoided that and looked all the better for it.
