TransPennine Express
RE: First Transpennine Express
Hello all, I'm planning on getting a TransPennine Express train on Monday from Newcastle-York. Does anyone know if the trains have WiFi?

Thanks in advance Smile

Unfortunately not according to National Rail. http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/passenger_...Fi.html#TP

The 2002 Bus Blog is about Transport in the North West of England and North Wales however we do venture further afield on some occasions - why not check out our latest content on our Website

RE: First Transpennine Express
If DalesBus do not provide the Richmond - Hawes - Lancaster Summer Sunday services this year, I shall just go to Darlington/ Middlesbrough/ Saltburn for the day. I looked up fares for April 27th for example (which will not be my chosen day as I shall be in Barnstaple then) but the Advance fares of £12 each way and late trains back are excellent!

Possibly (probably) as late as 2019 when the Northern Hub and associated TP electrification is complete AND when TPE receive the new Class 350/4 units have been fully delivered and tested.

You'll have to make do with just the 1 direct service, (06:15 1E60/1N60), at the moment.

Travel is glamorous only in retrospect.

2019?
What about the direct LIV-NCL via MCV due to start in December 2013 with Class 185 units?

All time rail mileage travelled 327264 miles

As the drivers are only just getting to grips with how a signal works, I'd say they are running behind.

Dependent on the 350/4 order (and associated driver training) being completed, in order to release Class 185s from the MIA-GLC/EDB workings.

The latest I've heard was Chester was being considered instead of Liverpool for additional/new Transpennine services, partly to increase CTR-WBQ-MAN frequencies.
