Certainly rare patch for a 59!

After more than 55 years service, and each of them covering several million miles, the end has arrived for the class 86. They’ve certainly earned their keep.
There are still a couple of these machines in use from time to time in the UK and some were exported to Bulgaria, but these were the last in regular service.
Well done!

I'll take that back having been stood down for less than a week. Several of them are now back in use with a pair working out of Garston last night to Felixstowe. Clearly still a few issues with the White 90s to resolve. Long May these glorious Electrics continue all be it on borrowed time.
