Of course, its age did go against it somewhat, I mean why spend god knows how much repairing a then 14 year old vehicle which may only see a further year in service or so? Or even do what most of its sisters have done and sat in store for the last year. The only one of the ALX300-bodied B10BLEs that has seen service throughout the year since 27723-40 arrived is Stockton's 21141. 21154 ran into the back of a truck on the Wearmouth Bridge I believe. They'll be sold off in September anyway so there was no need to repair it, better to use it for spares for the rest of the fleet. |

As we don't know what is happening with the examples of these that are not allocated to either Walkergate or Slatyford, it may only be a matter of time before that advert has gone for good. Well there's still at least one 53 reg MAN with it still in place at Slatyford as I just went past it. Didn't catch the fleet number. |
