I don't see any issues with the 375/85 remaining as it is as long as a reliable fleet of buses is found to operate it. The Scania/Enviro400s Stagecoach uses on the X2/2X (an even longer route than the 375/85) seem to manage fine. I've used the X2 regularly for several years and it has never once let me down, whereas the 375 has on several occasions despite it being a route I seldom use. I don't really understand why the B7TLs which were and are so reliable at Speke should be so unsuitable for the Wigan route given their chassis. We can only hope the new Enviro400s will be better.
