I'm amazed it's not been noted here yet As of last week, the 0705 685 from Carlisle to Newcastle has been converted to double decker operation on schooldays due to high loadings. The decker remains on the board for two round rips (0705 and 1215 from Carlisle, 0945 and 1445 from Newcastle) before the last trip at 1730 from Carlisle is worked by one of the branded Enviro300s. The intended vehicle for now is former Newcastle Enviro400 19144, however so far it's been a mixture of Carlisle's ex-Manchester Tridents.
