Jesus Christ, United section looks great but how can Arriva not paint their own livery correctly, if the livery was right that would look superb.

I think it's what's called doing it in a hurry - it was parked at the rear of Jesmond depot in a rubbed-down state on Tuesday when I was there.

Ah, so the blame for the bodge lies with whoever did the vinyls then. Still saw it the other day in a rubbed down state, presumably ready for a repaint once this vinyl is removed (next year I guess).

Information from Alex K on the arrivane Yahoo Group.

These services seem to see a variety of vehicle types. I have seen pix of a Pulsar 2 and an Olympian-NC II on either route, and now Prestiges can operate. I thought the routes had been upgraded from Prestige to Pulsar 2 but maybe not yet fully. I plan to ride route X2 from Gateshead to Durham next week and the following Monday from Gateshead to Newcastle. The surprise of what turns up awaits me!

The Durham workings turn up the more modern stuff (Pulsar, OmniCity) while Stockton's 3 workings are Prestige-operated. From late March until early May, when 1484-90 were branded for the 15, the Stockton workings were Pulsar all week (evening and Sunday X1 runs are Pulsar worked).
