Merseyrail
RE: Merseyrail
I have been trying to fathom out where this bridge work is . as it affects both lines to Ormskirk and Kirkby im thinking it has to be somewhere in the vicinity of Kirkdale to Walton / Rice Lane but all I can see is tunnels in that area .

RE: Merseyrail
Bridges over the Sandhills - Walton/Rice Lane section include those at Stanley Road, Westminster Road, Rawcliffe Road and a few smaller footpath over-bridges. Any of these could be up for renewal.

507027 has joined the list of internally refreshed units, but neither of the two outstanding nameplates appears to have returned just yet.

I think thats why they have spread the work out between all the depots so that buses from each depot can be used.

RE: Merseyrail
I was on the tour yesterday and what a great day out it was. The BLS and Merseyrail worked together excellently to cover everything we were booked to do and more. I believe something like £12,000 was raised for the Community Link Foundation and Claire House charities so it's money well spent in my eyes. It was nice to dodge the 508112 bullet and be booked on 508111 for the tour as it is easily the better set of the two.

There is another BLS tour of Merseyrail pencilled in for late 2017 apparently. I've suggested two 507s and specifically 507002 for this so we'll see what happens!

Speaking of 507002, it is the latest set to receive the interior refresh and was coupled with 507001 at Kirkdale yesterday. 508143 is also done.
