Is New Brighton the designated location for holding sets prior to entry onto Birkenhead North.

RE: Merseyrail
You've got to say this weekend has been a really poor effort capacity-wise. Three events taking place across the Southport - Hunts Cross line: the Africa Oye festival (80,000 visitors last year), tennis tournament at Aigburth Cricket Club and the Woodvale Rally.

Merseyrail had no six cars booked for either day and as I far as I know not a single one has been provided. This is despite adverts for both Africa Oye and the tennis being plastered across their website and Twitter page all week.

Yep,generally if a unit is in the wall siding at New Brighton then there's something wrong with it. Not sure what the problem with 507001 is,it's just listed as demic.

What is demic is it a term given to a unit that is out of service awaiting repair? Thanks.

Yeah can cover a unit that's awaiting repair or taken out of service mid journey for a fault

507017 is back in service after the fire it had, while 507001 has moved to the outdoor siding at Birkenhead North depot for repairs. 508140 has received the interior refresh.
