Most times I've seen it in the past they've used LS buses with spare drivers from LS as well as from other depots like Speke and St Helens and so on although on occasion buses from Runcorn and Speke have been used but I very much doubt that these days unless they're really short. In the case of it being LS buses it should be the VLW's the Enviro400's and perhaps a hybrid or two at a push if needed.

RE: Merseyrail
If they are short then maybe deckers from speke or bootle could be used as there are quite a few drivers from st helens depot needed from what i got told as birkenhead asked our place how many drivers can we send.

RE: Merseyrail
tbh theres nothing stopping single deckers coming from st helens as they are now 2 buses over plus 7615 is parked at back of depot in on peace and tax and MOT still on it, dont think st helens would send any buses but if it really came to it they could afford to do it

Id like to see a whole train load arrive at Birkenhead North and a Marshall turns up. The punters would ve distraught. I imagine that the loop bus won't be that busy. People visiting the city centre for leisure will probably just alight at James St and walk.

Motormayhem , the only jobs that continue on beyond Birkenhead Central are the 2319 and 2349 Moorfields - Chester and the 2334 Moorfields - Ellesmere Port .

Beyond Birkenhead Central these are classed as set down only .
