RE: Merseyrail
507008 looks superb. The work done will be sand blasting on the loop, this is done on the loop every 4 years.

RE: Merseyrail
507008 was on the delayed 22:59 service from Sandhills to Southport if anyone can work that one out. I normally find 1 or 2 trains off the Ormskirks on a Friday end up on Weat Kirbys on Saturday.

Thanks JTD. It finishes at Southport according to the diagrams so there is a good chance it will be on the Southport line tomorrow which is ideal. Even stabled in the wall siding would be OK.

Youre welcome! There is also the diesel loco timetabled from Wigan via the Bootle Branch to Southport tomorrow to pass the bootle branch at around 12:05. The nameplate on 008 is fitted the the DMS A car (64412) for your info.

Cheers
JTD

RE: Merseyrail
Managed to track down 507008 today and it was indeed out and about on the Southport line. An excellent unit in all departments and a pleasure to ride despite the choice of name. Thanks again for the help, made finding it a lot easier.

RE: Merseyrail
Very welcome. I was wondering if anyone knows how to work out units for the following day on the West Kirby line? I already know that 1 or 2 units from the Ormskirk line form on the West Kirby line.

TRUST/TOPS/Gemini

or for Merseyrail... who don't let their front line staff use those systems, MSOutlook>Public Folders>Control Centre Logs>Select relevant date.
(or log in with Merseyrail e-mail address using Internet Explorer using this link https://owa.merseyrail.org/owa/auth/logo.../&reason=0 and look for public folders)

Travel is glamorous only in retrospect.

RE: Merseyrail
Sorry I didn't see your earlier post. I'm not sure what it was, I was just going by what was on opentraintimes.

I expect not well myself, speed restrictions will most likely be in place, so services will be displaced. Plus Shoe gears will be taking a battering. Poor old 507/8's are too old for this Wink no just messing, I don't think OH wires will be at an advantage tomorrow because of the winds. The religion is going to take a battering!!!
