Stagecoach Manchester and Wigan
RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Is Walrus a Jokey Code name or a serious name? i always struggle with Merseytravels names for products as they dont tend to tell you what they are in the name and i still dont know what half of them are eg trio saveaway etc. can someone pm me the info for future reference?

Much Prefer a System one Bus and Train ticket its a much better name and helps when you get out of town drivers eg arriva southport or St Helens drivers as they know the tickets valid upto the boundary?

Back to Stagecoach Manchester

What will be covering the 90+ buses going to the Olympics is there 90+ Spare?

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
A mixture of Magic Buses spare from summer frequencies, Olympians etc drafted back into service.

There will also be a good amount of vehicles into Manchester from other regions.

Plus the 10 newbies that have not yet entered service (and I seriously doubt they will before the Olympics)

I saw them last week together running on 'zero' numbers down Hyde Road, Gorton. Not sure if they were on their way to or from service, or just being tested, but they are definitely still around.

Yes the London imports are rapidly coming into play now. 17180 is also on the road. I had a quick ride on it tonight. I have to say they do sound in quite good nick considering their history and age etc. Could be around for a good few years yet. I also like the stair layout, as they go straight up as opposed to a spiral, much safer I think when people are going up and down stairs while the bus is moving.

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Considering how long Finglands ALX400 Tridents have been around which until Stagecoach Manchester got theirs recently were the only full height Tridents in Manchester it is indeed hope that Stagecoach's are around for a quite a while yet.
