Another council has declared itself effectively bankrupt, this time it is Nottingham City Council, with the most recent report indicating the Labour-run council was set for a £23m overspend in the 2023-24 financial year - It should come as no surprise as the council had been beset by financial issues in recent years and was already under government monitoring.

Bauer Media have announced that Radio City will be rebranded under a new name, in which Radio City will known as 'Hits Radio Liverpool' from April.

Rock FM is also being rebranded, sadly.
2 massive names in local radio in the area being consigned to the history books.

At least Radio City maintains its studio in Liverpool. Red Rose Radio (Rock FM) has,been broadcast from Manchester for the last 2,or 3 years with the iconic St. Paul's Church studios being sold since.

King Charles has been diagnosed with a form of cancer, as confirmed by Buckingham Palace and has postponed his public engagements, but will continue with his constitutional role as head of state (such as paperwork and private meetings)

The cancer was discovered during his recent treatment for an enlarged prostate, but it is not prostate cancer itself.

The iconic Kellogs factory in Trafford Park is to close by 2026. The production facility needs modernising and this cannot be done in the current premises.
