If I am correct the East Lances Road does not start until Lower Lane where the 17 turns off Walton Hall Avenue.

All time rail mileage travelled 327264 miles

47714 was out on the X3 this afternoon. Not sure if it had been out all day though.

18354 back in service from Preston, noted in Blackpool on the 68 today.

18147 was in the yard today.
These new engines that have been put in a handful of darts are quite interesting. Not only is the AdBlue fill point on the nearside of the bus, i have discovered that they aren't limited to 56mph and there seems to be an extra gear when 50mph is reached.

That "extra" 5th gear is present in all dart gearboxes, but standard Stagecoach spec was to have it locked out.
There is a way around that lock though, if you put the gearbox from drive to neutral and back again quickly while in 4th gear...

Sounds like the gearboxes are remapped as part of the engine upgrade process.
