That makes a lot of sense. As the 20/21 already has a daytime frequency of every five minutes, deckers are the only way that the service can be enhanced to cope with peak hour demand.

When Stagecoach bought GTL in 2005, GM was mainly ex-London Titans and Metrobuses that needed replacing. At the time, drafting in 60+ new 38-seater Darts was one way of upgrading the fleet but it came at a price. Thankfully, GM now has an allocation that satisfies its needs.

10574 (SN16 OTL) newish Euro6 Enviro400MMC decker is on route 53-CROSBY today.

First time I've seen a 10xxx-series decker on the 53, but I should imagine such sightings will become more common now that GM has new 66-plate deckers and I can't really see the 348xx-series Pointer Darts lasting much longer either.

This is a very rare sighting but they were used on the 53 on Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Does GM have any routes that require a Dart as opposed to an Enviro300?
