Merseytravel: Bus service Consultations

Does sound right for Arriva to do it this way so they can axe the service altogether as look at how they done the 21 Halton Hospital - Chester, they cut that back to Helsby and then axed it altogether as very little people where using it

Results of the X1 consultation now up. service will NOT be withdrawn. Instead, it will operate every 40 mins Monday-Saturday daytime with extra services in the peaks

Looks great and a massive improvement in my opinion!
A couple of small teething issues, but that is of course to be expected.

Consultation has been opened on proposed change to service 91/91A Birkenhead - Holmlands circular. Route to be standardized with all buses serving Prenton Dell but service reduced to every 65 min

Wouldn’t exactly call that proposed 91 simplifying it, what a mess plus every 65 mins is a stupid frequency

I had heard a rumour from someone in work (this is a completely unreliable source, I didn’t believe it myself) apparently they had spoke to an Arriva driver who stated that the 418 will operate between Arrowe Park and Birkenhead on a 70 minute frequency. It makes me wonder if that is the reason why the 91 will be rerouted to serve Prenton Dell? Or whether it’s just to reinstate the quicker link between prenton Dell and Birkenhead

The 418 may well revert to The Half Way House... as for the 70min frequency, wouldn't be the first time it's been done on there, it was at least part of the discussion on the last set of consultations.

Typical of Arriva's death by a thousand cuts, might as well withdraw the 418, instead of that barmy proposal.
