I had got so used to these as part of the Mersey bus (2 words not 1!) heritage that it seems hard to believe they are withdrawn. I caught one just in May last year, from Bebington to Upton IIRC.

Admittedly there are still the 55-reg examples, mainly at Runcorn, but these older ones have an affection of their own.

Post 953 in the Wrexham feed showed 2557 there, most likley Withdrawn

No, 2557 and 2556 moved to Chester at the same time they were both only there to cover for refurbishments to the Solos and with 849 and 917 returning they were no longer needed and now with 852 thats why 2448 was withdrawn.
