Not sure what service it was meant to be on, it said "Hough Green Farm" on the destination blinds, but no number. It had broken down right before the mini-roundabout and was causing quite a big queue behind it!
It was infact #23! Today #1 was on the 27, not extremely rare but worth a mention. It was later replaced by #60 which is fresh back into service.

RE: Halton Transport
#73 on 61

#22 broke down on the 44 earlier but the problem seemed to sort itself out, all be it on a shorter version of the route

From VOSA, it seems that Halton will have the 200 from 17th February!

Ashcrofts 200?! Well that sounds good, I wonder what vechiles they will operate that with! There is no way they could even fill a solo or the mini Marshall, the loadings for it always look pretty poor, prehaps they will decrease the service to once a hour in either direction and have just 1 vechile on at any one time instead of Ashcrofts 3, can't see it being that profitable really.

It's a subsidised service, so it doesn't have to be profitable. Halton Transport will get an agreed sum of money regularly off of Halton Borough Council for running the service whatever happens.

RE: Halton Transport
Halton Transport will assume operation of service 200, in partnership with Halton Borough Council, linking employment areas around Runcorn with the Old Town and stations. The service operates every 30 minutes throughout the day, visiting Astmoor, Whitehouse, Preston Brook, Daresbury Park, Sci-Tech and Manor Park. The service will be operated with brand new minibuses in a special livery.

Also From Monday 6th of January 2014 service 62A will be replaced by new service 14B. There will be a minor change to the route between Festival Way and Halton Lodge: the 14B will operate via Grangemoor and not Handforth Lane. There will be minor timing changes.

RE: Halton Transport
#29 which was on the 44, has been on the 26A most of the day.

It has been quite common recently despite solos operating other services such as the am and pm 45.
