im guessing they are a full interior overhaul and imo think they may get leather seating like what the geminis have.

If I'm to believe what I've read, the overhall of the Enviro's is partially funded by an outside source, maybe the council for the work to be undertaken in conjunction with the re-launch.

Probably not that unusual, although not seen one on it before...new Pulsar 3133 seen on the 2 in Bromborough Tuesday afternoon.

Looking at the fleet list, when these new Hybrids arrive 32 deckers will most probably leave
4000-2 / 4038-4158 / 4402-4422 (4403/5 already gone) If 4141/3/8 go they will have to be replaced with something else for emergency Rail work.

Coincidentally, according to my spreadsheet, there are now 33 step-entrance double deckers now left in any kind of service in Arriva NW and Buses Wales - this includes the open-toppers in Rhyl.

Today I have been informed the Enviros were meant for Green Lane. However the Welsh coucill wanted 'newer buses', with the promise of refurbishment. Also 4001 lived up to its reputation, by over heating today.

So it seems there Wales bound the Enviro's with the buses having a full overhaul before going .

You would have thought that 4000/1/2 would have made ideal Rail Replacement pool vehicles , as they wouldnt really be over worked and you all know that the Merseyrail network seems to rely on them a lot recently at Hooton , southwards.

4000 - 4002 are strange buses. Hated by all at Laird St, and they are very rare to find parts for. Hemce them moving to.Southport.

Why is it hard to find parts for 4000-4002, surely it cant be that hard to find parts for Plaxton President Dennis Tridents, I know a few other operators are still operating the combination
