Looks like more Plaxton Presidents are leaving Arriva London for pastures new. Palmers Green DLP103 and DLP104 have been at Smiles, Newcastle upon Tyne since at least 3 Dec. presumably for power mods.

With Arriva losing a number of routes I don't suppose they need them.
I was in London for four days the back end of last week and did not see a single DLP.

The remaining DLPs were all based at Palmers Green in North London. When Palmers Green lost the 34 to Metroline on 8 Nov all remaining DLPs were withdrawn and will in due course presumably
be cascaded to the Provinces. To compensate Palmers Green, the majority of the 141 workings were moved from Wood Green along with Daf DDs DW495-515. Credit to LOTS for this.

RE: London Bus Scene
It's been reported on the BBC website that drivers from 18 bus companies operating in London are to stage a 24-hour strike next week. The UNITE union is demanding that all employees, irrespective of which company they work for, are paid identical rates of pay and given the same conditions of service and pensions. I think that this may create some travel problems on the day.
