My hunch is that they are for routes 23/a/24 but are being driver-trained and trialled across many routes initially.

At Stockport bus garage we can now see Enviro 400-MMCs from ST on local routes, from HE on route 203, from AZ on route 330 and occasionally from SH on route 42!

Same could be technically said for Ashton local services. You've got the 31 based at AZ which all apear on Ashton services, Sharston depots on 168/169 and technically HE's COULD appear on their varied 219. I believe one was used on the 237N a couple of weekends ago so they do about. The majority of HE's workings on 219 seems to be on a Sunday so keep eyes open lol.
