I'm so unhappy about this. As a Neston resident we've never had the links that Merseyside residents have. I have fond memories the old silver Iveco that Matthews used when they started their daytime link to Arrowe Park,we didn't mind it was small and hourly because at least it was going to turn up.

I know that patronage isn't great, but Neston is much larger than people give it credit for and with some very low income areas. It seems very unfair that Heswall has a lot of local and long distance services when it has a far lower population and a greater car ownership. Their only benefit is being the 'right' side of the boundary line. In my eyes Heswall gets buses because of political pressure, while Neston has real social need and can't afford them.

I can't believe that I'm going to say this, but, perhaps we should scrap the free OAP and Disabled travel scheme and use the money to provide buses. What's the point in free travel if you haven't got any services that take you where you need to go.
