The reason for an evening & Sunday service on the 417 is they're withdrawing the 423, which itself is being replaced by the 413, the reason the 417 having an evening & Sunday service is that those in Town Meadow area still have a bus to Arrowe Park Hospital, however the 417 will be every 60 minutes were as the 423 is every 30 minutes, which again is nuts.

The 417 goes through the wastelands of Raby , at the best of times it is moving fresh air between Clatterbridge and Eastham Rake station. Literally the passengers that would of used the 416 by the more populated route .
