Bolton are to lose their Hybrid Wright Geminis to Birkenhead and get Pulsars as replacements, First swap is 4497 for 3131

Thought I'd copy this here, quite interesting I must say

I have often wondered whether this would happen. Even when Birkenhead was meant to be getting a handful of new Envrio400s, I wondered by they didn't consolidate all the Hybrids in one place.

How many do Bolton have? Is it 10?

It should mean that most cross river services will be operated by hybrid vehicles , probably on exception being the 487

Aren't all the Cross rivers ran by hybrids anyway? Apart from the odd normal DD being found on the 464 but that's only atleast 3 if they if its fully allocated standard deckers. I doubt they've been bought in just for the evening 423 cross rivers...and the 2s getting withdrawn so won't be for them either

Wonder if they'll put the cross river branding on them? Hopefully they won't because they look better without it. Let's hope they don't put them on the new school contracts

4496 was in use on the 432/3/7 from 4pm this afternoon, this was a bus exchange for 4172. 4496 was only in service at Bolton this morning and ends the day at Birkenhead!

Was like 3131 when it arrived at Bolton, ended up straight on the 541 as a Bus exchange
