That explains why 47/48/48A-branded Pulsar 2 MX10 CZF (3042) was on the 300 and freshly-repainted Marshall V637 DVU (7637) and Renown Y722 KNF (2722) were both on the 47/48 - or does it?! The driver on 7637 at about midday nearly killed it - every time he slammed his foot on the accelerator in Liverpool, of which he's well-known for(!), the bus seemed to lose its gears...!

Arriva added two additional buses late on, with three 300's leaving within 20 mins. (not sure where they came from) There were hundreds of people queuing on Chapel Street outside the station. Could have done with all the School Deckers.

RE: Arriva North West - Southport Depot
Noticed yesterday that there were in fact two Flower Show shuttle routes operating: the classic 27 from Southport station and a park and ride service from near the Royal Birkdale. It looked like 61-plate Pulsars across the board on these. Sunday saw a few Renowns and a Marshall on the local routes which is presumably quite unusual. I expect Southport is almost entirely Pulsars on most Sundays excepting the 300/375/385.

The 300 is "hit and miss" on Sundays. Sometimes a Marshall escapes onto the service, sometimes it's completely Renown-operated and sometimes the Commander is on there with two Pulsar 2s. As with weekday allocations, the service's variety seems to be a 24/7 thing!

CR must have some buses missing. The school deckers are in daily operation, but the depot is empty bar one bus. When the schools go back & the PVR goes up again something's gotta give. Wonder if a few are on the pits etc.
