So the 56 is being replaced by the x6, why have they done that for. Can't see what was wrong with the 56 except sometimes it's not always on time. I use this bus quite a lot and don't know why it's only hourly to north shields now. So will it terminate at Killingworth bus station then?

Just wait and see. I know as much as everyone else. Only that it is mentioned on the X6 registration 'Half Hourly' to Killingworth and 'Hourly' to North Shields.

You notice it also says via Whitley Bay which of course the 56 does not go there now. Pity people living in Backworth or Shiremoor if they want to go to North Shields and have to travel via Whitley Bay.
