Arriva North East
RE: Arriva North East
'685' branded VDL SB300, (R293KRG), was on the 08.10 X19 today. As this journey has been Solo worked since the first day apart from one day when it was a refurbished ALX300, I'm noting this as a rare working.

So from that, think it's safe to say operation of the 1 has reverted back to sole Blyth operation using MPDs, as it was in the days of the 441 prior to the Northumbria Network review of 2010.

A very rare treat for my trip home - 1493 on the 6 (apology for the poor quality of the photo, currently without camera so this was taken on my ipod)

RE: Arriva North East
I understand all October moves are expected to take place next week. There are some changes I understand that are different to the offical ones, mainly in regards to Stockton depot:

1494 is due to be the example to move to Darlington along with 1492 rather than 1493, though the depot management are apparently in discussion to instead send one of the 4 un-named unbranded 10-reg Pulsars instead (1457-60)

RE: Arriva North East
Roadworks this weekend on the Trunk Road (affecting services 22/71, 64/64a, X3/X4 on Saturday and 22a & 64b on Sunday) mean that on Sunday, the 22a/64b will operate stand-alone to each other. Presumably, this will mean that Stockton, rather than Redcar, will be operating the 64b on Sunday (Monday-Saturday Evening 64b are operated by Stockton, interworking with the 17c).

Redcar will still do it - the choice to run it standalone is their own. They will relieve drivers with fresh vehicles either at Middlesbrough or more logically Grangetown.

Not quite sure how they can do it, as they are effectively advertising that they wont be running the service to timetable. Not good.
