First Manchester
RE: First Manchester
37442 had a problem during the afternoon rush hour where it seems it ran out of fuel, as it was being refuelled by a member of the maintenance team with a jerry can perched on a stepladder on Oldham Road near the Royal Mail.

RE: First Manchester
That won't be fuel as the fuel tank is under the stairs, it is most likely to be water which is usually near the radiator.

RE: First Manchester
Yeah that is the water, dw nout bad, they fuel each bus to the brim every night, the tanks are 200ltr+ (about 200ltr on an enviro200, so probs more on a b9)

RE: First Manchester
The new timetables for the 24 and 181/182 are on the First website. It looks like the services will combine to run a 10 minute service between Royton, Chadderton and Manchester. The 181/182 will run a 10/20 minute frequency between Shaw and Manchester instead of the current evenly-balanced 15 minute frequency.

I do wonder whether some or all of the journeys on these services will be moving to Queens Road depot (probably not), as the 24 and 181/182 are the only Oldham area services on the Forthcoming Timetables page so far, with the rest being Bolton, Bury and Queens Road services. Usually, the western half are quicker putting new timetables up compared to Oldham and Tameside services, which are uploaded a lot later.

RE: First Manchester
Just looking at those new timetables for 24 & 181/182 makes interesting reading as considering the X82 is being withdrawn according to these new timetables its being replaced by 2 services within minutes of each other, as there's a 182 at 17:42 and then a 24 at 17:45 both running the same route between Manchester and Chadderton, it'll be interesting to actually see how busy these 2 services will actually be

Oldham's B7 66891 on a 507 in Bolton earlier. Is this a loan or the start of the transfers?
