Does anybody think 37303's repaint at BN could have something to do with X34? Maybe a transfer coming up to WN as it's also a leather seated B9? Wigan can operate from Leigh much more easily from the new Bryn depot so it would make sense.

37303s repaint and transfer link has been mentioned before along with 37301 and 37304 all leather seated would almost complete the fleet at Wigan. But it's just a rumor on here that they could be sent to Wigan for x34 at Wigan.

37301 isn't leather seated. :P

I know it's not, the rumor is just to send them over because they would be the more logical choice of B9s to go. My typing for 37301 though I know only 37303/4 are and 37301 isn't. But I don't think they will live Bolton anyways. As you'd have to replace them at BN if they left

If they are going to relaunch the X34, this will be the third time! Smile

I'd say Manchester would make more sense than Wigan because of greater number of b9s there. And if the x34 Is relaunched for a third time, they need to get it right this time.

They've had it right every time, it's a considerably busy service! It may be the third relaunch but that's simply to do with the fleet changes each time - launch of B10BLE's, then launch of B9TL's, and now the launch of the new livery (possible).

Please god no! BN do a great job on the 12, one of the most reliable first services i'd say and its always 100% operated by decent buses, WN will start throwing B10BLE's/darts and arrows all over it and it will just go downhill, since the B7RLE's became permanantly on the 12 from the darts, it has definitely had an increase in passenger numbers.

Well it can't have been to great an increase for them to reduce it to an hourly service? And I'm sure First will have worked out allocations and movements etc to make the services work. Certainly B10BLE's would be at home on the 25/26.

The busiest part of the route is between Leigh and Tyldesley, and Swinton and Manchester, areas where an every half frequency will be sustained, also quite a lot of custom between Manchester and Tyldesley/Atherton/Leigh road, gain where an half hour frequency will be kept WN seem to a good job on its services through Tyldesley, Astley and Atherton though i'd say, 32 and X34 reliable services usually with good buses, unlike the 600, hopefully some B7RLE'S from BN or QS will be transferred for the 12/25/26/600 if they operate it that is.

Also after praising BN, very poor effort yesterday that the 36 (B7RLE) left Manchester, all seats full with 2 sat in the luggage rack and one person stood up, the driver felt the need to put 'not in service' on the front and even when the bus went half empty, he still kept it as Not In Service..... Plenty of people were waiting for it on route too!

I don't think there will be any movements of routes or buses with each depot keeping to what they do now except QS will do the 25. I am also presuming that 37301s repaint is down to the fact that all BNs B9s are to be done over the next few months.

Got to give BN a bit of slack at the moment as they are obviously short of B9s whilst they are in for repaint as loans are tending to be B7RLEs.

It would be odd QS running the 25, as it is running from piccadilly, QS routes tend to go from Shudehill as this is where there drivers change, the only reason the 33 doesn't serve shudehill is because of its route in manchester, the 25 could easily go to shudehill without doing a stupid route round the city centre, anyway thats why I think QS won't run it, I still imagine BN will run it, they will use the B7RLE's off the 12 journeys that have been withdrawn, seems the most logical option and BN tend to run in Leigh - Atherton, and Walkden/Swinton to Manchester sections.
WN have the East Lancs section and the QS just had the one odd route through Swinton, Boothstown and Leigh...

I know it's a busy service, I've used it from Leigh many many many times, I've had my issues with it being stranded in Piccadilly etc. But yes totally agree new fleet liverys possible, although some of the fleet changes are horrible and it's a bit of. Waste of time. Other than that not a bad route.

RE: First Manchester
34097 seem to have a problem with its electronic display, as there was a piece of paper stuck on the front window with 149 on it when it arrived into Manchester and then when I saw it again when leaving Manchester, it was parked up in Stevenson Square with X82 written on the paper.
