16 OM B7s first up, to be painted! This is being done to make sure it does not clash with there MOTs, as some are due soon.

Also to note, buses are being painted en block for particular routes, At the moment! So a PVR figure for a new service ell be painted and launched as New overground services, rather than just picking random buses out etc.

The above is a reply, I asked of the First Manchester painter based at Oldham depot, you will all probably know who I mean, but I can't name names on here

Regards

Damien

and then 10 of these B7s are to transfer to Pioneer when Oldham get their new buses

Mic

When the B7s are painted and transferred do you know of any overground route branding planned for pioneer ?

RE: First Manchester
66930 was on the late 471s, and had a very dramatic faliure, never ever gone along Bury Road at less than 20 mph, then the lights went out, and there was a thud, and a sudden stop. Did feel sorry for the driver though, I heard him on the radio, say bloody hell I just want to get home. Why it takes Bury depot 30 mins to get someone out, to one of there stricken buses at this time of night is beyond me

RE: First Manchester
Depending whereabouts 66930 broke down and at what time I do feel sorry for the passengers on it as after a certain time 471 drop to hourly service from Bolton-Bury.

As for Bury Depot taking their time coming out to the bus all I can say to this is that I think its the same at any other depot in that there's less fitters/engineering staff on after a certain time at night and its been like this for years

30804 Also on 471 as well, just come down to Bolton on 69172, nice to see a B7 on this route, as the hybrids are to small for passenger numbers.
