Well it was easily noticeable from a passing New Brighton/West Kirby line train. You did mention earlier that 507002 was to receive an advertising livery and there was a set in the same place as 507002 was last week on Saturday in white base coat. Put two and two together, and...

I wasn't expecting sarcastic answer or maths lesson, just thought you had found a place where we could observe 507 002, I'll go back to going past on the train trying to catch a quick glimpse, cheers anyway

It wasn't meant to be a sarcastic reply. I seem to have misread your original post, so I'm sorry for that. To answer your question, my observations of 507002 are purely from seeing it on passing trains.

RE: Merseyrail
There was some track circuit problems at Liverpool Central this morning that caused some problems to services .

At one point this morning the only services operating past Sandhills was the service to Hunts Cross . The services from Kirkby and Ormskirk was terminating at Sandhills .

One of the Chester six car services (0752 Ch - Bc) had to be cancelled as the service was trapped in the reversing siding at liverpool Central trying to get to Chester.

RE: Merseyrail
Anyone know where Sunday's naming is to take place? Southport would seem logical as I believe the late Stuart spend much of his time on Merseyside based there.

Not sure on the unit, but I'm still predicting one of the ones which carried the Capital of Culture liveries as they're the tidiest. 507008 or 507019 are my guesses.

RE: Merseyrail
Yes it is going to be at Southport .

As you say 507009 this is logical as the passengers can probably be directed to other platforms easier , logically platform 3 would be the best as they can use Platform 1 and 2 for service trains , watching Southport Pltfm 1 seems the least used one of the electrified platforms .

Thanks, Wirralbus. As I say, it's probably to do with Stuart spending time based at Southport as well. I don't suppose there is a time for the proceedings to start? I wouldn't mind grabbing a couple of photos if I can once the ceremony is over.

Platform 1 is used in mostly during weekday peak hours as there's almost always a 6 car stabled in there between the peaks. On weekends it sometimes takes late arrivals to keep them out of the way of departures from platform 2 or 3.

As the train departs just after 11am, I'm guessing the naming will be some time between 10am & 11am
