It's not a new service, It's a school service being run by Ashcroft's that Halton have won the contract for, and will be ran by anything that is spare in the depot (like most other school runs with the exception of routes 45 and 64)

Does anyone know anything about the variation to the 200's route and timetable from Monday (through on VOSA)?

The details of the amended 200 are now available on Halton Transport's website (plus details of the 10 from the end of the month).

#71 had a serious gearbox problem and was only used in normal service when other buses became unavailable, usually the 2 which interworks with the 17..
It was used on school services, more commonly the 44 and 46 am services, however the gearbox would jerk violently between first and second gear and would reach third quite late. It was also slow off the mark, but unusually not always.
