Halton Transport
RE: Halton Transport
They may be able to from Monday as during the off-peak there will be a 7-8 minute gap between 32/32A/33 departures - I'm fairly sure this will create enough of a gap for an extra 30 minute service on there.

Well, on the assumption there'd be no late running; late running on stand 5 is a pain because it means that 35/As can't get out and 36/As, 329s and 352s can't get down onto 7.

Bus 34 has been repainted out of it's Widnes Centenary colours and is now freshly painted in standard fleet livery, seen this evening looking good!

Darts 71/2/3/4 re-instated!
Dart 71 T760 LFM on the 14 and I've just had Dart 72 V993 LLG on the 2. Sighted 2 more today, not sure which ones but it's a safe bet 73 and 74 are out somewhere, possibly one being on the 26, about to pop back out to find them! Needless to say 72 was a hell of a lot better than any MTL Marshall, thats for sure!

To be fair, it wouldnt be hard for somebody elses Marshalls to be better than the EX-MTL ones.

So the 26 hasn't been withdrawn completely after all Big Grin

Anyone know what the 17's are doing in between journeys at the moment?

I believe so mate, I sighted an SPD as well as 71 on Cronton College schools, the latter had worked off a 14A so it's not as if they are confined to schools, probably a safer bet to say that they work duties that work onto school routes, maybe easing the load on the rest of the fleet, either way, a sensible move to bring extra vehicles onto the road. How long it will be for, who knows, whether it's temporary and they'll be taken off again with the next route changes or even delivery on new/newer vehicles, or whether it's on a more permanent basis (I.E for this school year), I don't know!

Indeed mate! I was mistaken (I think) about a 10.7m Dart being on there though. I say I think as I had bus 30 on there at 4:15. Was running slightly late and when it did turn up, there was a constant beeping for the first 10 mins of the journey, also had difficulty selecting gears out of neutral, possibly a problem with the air not building up properly as it soon went off as we came into Farnworth, or possibly an oil leak if it wasn't able to select gears (I know of another bus that has an oil leak and has difficulty selecting gears, it's been put down to the oil so I'm inferring that oil has an effect on how gears can be selected, I don't know, it's an educated guess!) But it may have possibly been a bus exchange for something else due to it being slightly late and having this beeping going on, I doubt it would have done more than one trip with it doing that!

Not a clue about the 17s though mate, today was the only time I have spent in Widnes which has allowed for some spotting in a long time, I only seen one 17 at Green Oaks run by bus 21 and didn't see what it did after that!

RE: Halton Transport
All of the cronton/riverside evening services interwork with another route.

The morning servies do not, however the bus on the 44 will be usually put on the 26.
