Its a Polymer , more of a plasticy type of feel .

I think it will get done but with the £5 just started and the £10 and £20 notes to follow , it will be a while yet , probably beyond 2020.

I got a new £5 note in my change today,and they feel /look good
and are light enough to put in a wallet like the old ones

According to the person who gave me the fiver in my change a couple of people refused it, Why someone would do that i dont know

Because it could've been a fake, perhaps they didn't know about it despite it receiving a lot of media attention in recent months
