The 22:20 LIV - MCV was also cancelled. Both down to no crew to work the service... Not good for residents of Eccles or Patricroft! |

I have read elsewhere that the winning bid for the next Northern franchise is to be announced a week on Friday (December 4th) |

Northern (as well as Virgin and TPX) have been affected by a person being hit by a train between Preston & Wigan this afternoon. When I was coming back the 1550 (1530 from Preston) to South Parkway was cancelled and people heading southbound were advised to go to Lime Street on the stopping service and get connections from there. |

With TPE all bids apparently were good enough and First are rumoured to be favourites. |
